A 36-year-old Austin man was injured Wednesday night after several juveniles chased him in Southwest Austin.

According to Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger, police responded to a call at 8:44 p.m. on Wednesday in the 800 block of 10th Street Southwest. The caller said the victim approached him in his garage in the alleyway and asked him to call police.

The victim said he had been chased by a group of juveniles who were yelling at him, Krueger said. The victim said he grabbed two logs for defense because he was afraid they would attack him. He then said one of the juveniles, a black teen male standing roughly 5’5” tall, threw a grill pan, striking him in the forehead and causing an abrasion.
