Keith E. Kunze, 81

Keith E. Kunze, 81, of Austin, Minnesota, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018.

Keith was born June 8, 1937, to Rex and Ann (Pater) Kunze in Austin, where he spent most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1957. During his time on the East Coast, he met his future wife, Pauline Busick. Keith and Pauline were married on Sept. 24, 1957. They were blessed with three children, Anita, Patti and Blaine.

Keith worked as a postal worker, bridge inspector for the State of Minnesota, and joined the Austin Engineers Office, where he later retired as the superintendent of the Street Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pauline, in 1999; and three brothers, Kevin, Bruce and Kimm.

Keith is survived by his children, Anita (Mark) Wrolson, Austin, Patti (Kevin Harter) Kunze, Hudson, Wisconsin, and Blaine Kunze, Eagan, Minnesota; seven grandchildren, Melissa (Jake) Haugen, Rachel (Lance Sorensen) Wrolson, Justin Rockwell, Charity Rockwell, Roman Kunze, Noah Kunze and Gabby Kunze; four great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Leah, Shyla and Xander; brother, Ross (Joan) Kunze, Austin; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018, at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Richard A. Chinander officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery with Austin American Legion Post 91 and Olaf B. Damm VFW Post 1216 in charge of military rites.
