The Hayfield volleyball team was swept by No. 2 ranked Waterville-Elysian-Morristown (26-2 overall, 5-0 Gopher) by scores of 25-16, 25-9, 25-10 in Hayfield Thursday.

Jenna Jacobsen had four kills for the Vikings (9-11 overall, 2-4 Gopher).

“We knew the cards were stacked against us, but WEM just took it to us tonight,” Hayfield head coach Jeremy Struck said. “They are solid and will go deep into the post-season. We can play with anyone, but will have to get back to basics to be able to compete.”
