The Hayfield volleyball team picked up its first ever Gopher Conference win as it beat New Richland-HEG (4-4 overall) 23-25, 25-19, 25-16, 27-25 on the road Thursday.

Elecia Brown had 21 kills for the Vikings (4-5 overall) and Rachel had 14 kills for Hayfield. Cela Carney had 29 digs for Hayfield.
