President Donald Trump is coming to Rochester next Thursday.
The announcement was made Wednesday, as Trump will be making a stop on his “Make America Great Again” midterm campaign tour at the Mayo Civic Center in downtown Rochester on Oct. 4.
Doors open at 3:30 p.m., according to his website, and the rally starts at 6:30 p.m. Those interested are able to reserve tickets for the event via the website.
“We are pleased to announce the next stop on our national midterm campaign tour with a Make America Great Again rally on Thursday, Oct. 4 in Rochester, Minnesota,” said Michael Glassner, Chief Operating Officer for Donald J. Trump for President, Inc. according to a KIMT report. “As midterm elections draw near, President Trump looks forward to celebrate our booming economy that’s lifting up Minnesota families, and encouraging Minnesotans to get out and vote so we can keep our great American comeback on track.”
This marks the second visit that Trump made to Minnesota this year, including his rally that was held in Duluth earlier this summer.
According to various news reports, Minnesota GOP Chairwoman Jennifer Carnahan had released a statement regarding Trump’s visit, stating that it was “a dream come true.”
“We are jumping through the roof with excitement to welcome our great and fearless leader, President Donald J. Trump, back to Minnesota next week,” she said. “This upcoming visit emphasizes the importance of electing more Republicans to office in order to ensure affordable healthcare, lower taxes and the safety of our families. With the President’s help, we are looking forward to turning Minnesota red this November!”
Jim Hagedorn, Republican candidate for Congress in Minnesota’s First District where Rochester is located, also released a statement Wednesday regarding the upcoming visit from the president:
“Our campaign is excited President Trump is visiting Rochester,” Hagedorn’s statement reads. “Southern Minnesotans will have the first-hand chance to hear the President outline his many accomplishments and positive vision for America’s future. My goal is to partner with President Trump and like-minded colleagues to keep moving our nation in the right direction-to keep America safe, make America prosperous with high-wage jobs, defend our God-given rights and sustain agriculture and our rural way of life.”
