Geraldine A. Kamp, 79, of Austin, Minnesota, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, at Our House Memory Care in Austin.

Jeri was born on March 8, 1939, in Spring Valley, Minnesota, to Gerald and Viola (Besterfeldt) Harrison. She married LaVerne Kamp on March 6, 1965, in Austin. For most of her life, Jeri provided in-home childcare for working parents and helped to care for many children over the years. She enjoyed company and was always ready to go out for coffee with her sister Mary and friend Pat. She was a member of Crane Community Chapel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Viola; husband, LaVerne Kamp; stepfather, Russell Delaney; brother, Robert (Bob) Harrison; and infant twin brother, Gerald Harrison.

Jeri is survived by her siblings, Ronald Harrison, Cudahy, Wisconsin, Beverley Kingen, Everett, Washington, Harlan (Madeline) Harrison, New Brighton, Minnesota, and Mary Gilbertson, Austin; aunt, Toni Watts; cousin, Seelah Windfeldt; special friend, Harlan “Butch” Griese; and nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018, at Crane Community Chapel with the Rev. Dale Christianson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour before the service on Thursday at the church. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery. Clasen-Jordan Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
