An Austin teen sustained non-life threatening injuries in a car accident on Sunday evening.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2003 Subaru Forester, driven by 17-year-old Logan Alan Retterath of Austin, was heading southbound at about 5:41 p.m. on Sunday on Highway 218 near Mower County Road 28 when it left the roadway and hit an embankment.

Retterath was injured and taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin by Gold Cross Ambulance Service.

The Mower County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.

Retterath was wearing a seatbelt. It was determined that alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
