Law enforcement is seeking assistance from the public after the Mapleview Lounge was burglarized Thursday morning.

According to Mower County Senior Sgt. Investigator Steve Sandvik, the Mower County Sheriff’s Office received an alarm call at 3:25 a.m. on Thursday from the Mapleview Lounge.

Deputies found the suspect appeared to have used a metal grinder to grind the hinges off the door.

Approximately $1,100 was stolen, Sandvik said. The bar was largely undisturbed except where the money was stored, indicating the suspect may have had knowledge of the interior layout.

Evidence was collected at the scene and surveillance video is under review. There are no suspects at this time.
