The Mower County Historical Society (MCHS), Friends of the Austin Public Library and the Hormel Historic Home (HHH), the three local organizations behind the three-year series known as History Happy Hour, will host a Traveling History Bus event on from 5:30-8 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 10, 2018.
To kick off another great season of presentations, the partners will welcome guests into their organization to showcase their own unique historic treasures. The first 28 people who arrive at the HHH will be transported via bus to the library for an up close viewing of the St. John’s Bible. On the way, they will hear a brief recap of the Pillars of the Community dedicated over the last three years. The bus will then go to the MCHS for a presentation and then return to the HHH.
Space is limited on the bus, but guests are welcome to drive their own cars to each spot as well.
Members of any of the three organizations are invited to attend for free. Non-members will pay $5 each. Light snacks will be available.
Guests are encouraged to call the HHH at 507-433-4243 to reserve a ticket as bus seating is limited to 28 people.
