Tires slashed on vehicle at residence

Police are looking for a suspect who slashed a woman’s tires early Saturday morning.

According to Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger, police received a report about the incident at 2:07 p.m. on Saturday. The victim said she was leaving for work that morning when she noticed three of the four tires on her 2010 Chevy Malibu were flat. The tires had slashes in them that were roughly three to four inches long.

The vehicle was parked legally on the street in front of her residence in the 900 block of Second Avenue Northwest.

A neighbor told police she heard what might have been air hissing out of a leak at 2:30 a.m., but did not check on the noise.

There are no suspects at this time. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Mower County Law Enforcement Center at 507-437-9400.
