Susan (Karnes) Forsman, 52, of Howard Lake, Minnesota, passed away on Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, at her residence. She was diagnosed with cancer in March of 2017.

She was born July 14, 1966, in Austin, Minnesota, the daughter of Frank A. and Bonnie (Rosenthal) Karnes.

Sue was a very caring mom! She was always willing to help others. She enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, camping and the outdoors.

Sue was formerly employed at Littfin’s and was also a bartender at Keg’s Bar.

She is survived by her three children, Nathan Helland and Amber (Nicholaus) Schreppel of Hutchinson, Minnesota, and Paige Forsman of Cokato, Minnesota; two grandchildren, Hendrix and McKinley; her mother, Bonnie Karnes; siblings, Frank Karnes, Deb (Joe) Kirsch, Mike Karnes, Matt (Trish) Karnes and Jessica (Nathan) Wilhelmi; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Karnes; an infant brother, Christopher Karnes; and infant nephew, Andrew Karnes.

A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be held on at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 31, 2018, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Winsted, Minnesota with Father Tony Stubeda as the celebrant. The urn bearer will be her son, Nathan Helland. A visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, at The Chilson Funeral Home in Winsted. A prayer service will be held at 6 pm.
