Premiere of Ken Burns film focused on Mayo Clinic set for Sept. 10 in Rochester; Event that will include block party, screening and discussion with Ken Burns

Award-winning filmmaker Ken Burns will return to Rochester on September 10 as Twin Cities PBS and KSMQ Public Television host the full-length premiere of his new documentary, “The Mayo Clinic: Faith-Hope-Science.”
The documentary will air Sept. 25 on PBS, with a rebroadcast on Sept.26. The Sept. 10 event marks the first time that the film will be screened for the general public.
The event will start with a community block party at 4:30 p.m. at the Mayo Civic Center Plaza including music, food and interactive activities. The block party requires no ticket and is open to anyone in the community who would like to attend.
The premiere will be held at 7 p.m. in the Taylor Arena at the Mayo Civic Center. Following the screening of the film, a panel discussion will be held featuring Mr. Burns, who is the executive producer and co-director of the film, co-directors Erik and Christopher Loren Ewers and John Noseworthy, M.D., president and CEO of Mayo Clinic.
Public tickets for the event will be made available starting Monday at the Mayo Civic Center Box office.
Tickets are free of charge, with a limit of two per person.
The Box Office is open 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday – Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. It’s closed on Sundays.
