Mayo welcomes new physicians at Austin, Albert Lea campuses

Mayo Clinic Health System – Albert Lea and Austin welcome several new physicians, including radiologists, Adam Cole, M.D., Theodore Hanson, M.D., and Don Stott, M.D.
Dr. Cole received his medical degree at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska and recently completed his residency and fellowship at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Dr. Hanson received his medical degree at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine in Rochester.
Dr. Stott received his medical degree and completed his residency at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. All three started in July.
On the Austin campus Chad Dowell, D.O., joined the Family Medicine team in July. He received his medical degree and residency at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester. Also joining the physician team on the Austin campus in July is Caren Blacker, M.D., psychiatrist. Dr. Blacker received her medical degree at Oxford University in Oxford, England, and recently completed her residency in psychiatry and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine in Rochester. Dr. Blacker is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and has special interests in treating bipolar disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. Mayo Clinic Health System also welcomes Dhauna Karam, M.B.B.S., to the Internal Medicine team on the Albert Lea campus.
Dr. Karam received her medical degree at the Government Rajaji Hospital and Madurai Medical College in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India and completed her residency at the Chicago Medical School, Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois.

Also joining Mayo Clinic Health System on both the Albert Lea and Austin campuses in July is Derick Jones, M.D., in the Emergency Medicine department. Dr. Jones received his medical degree at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth in Hanover, New Hampshire, and completed his residency at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester.
