The Austin Packer boys soccer team kicked off their 2018 campaign with a 3-0 win over Como Park on the road Saturday afternoon.

The Packers took a 1-0 lead into halftime when Kevin Ortiz hit Lee Res with 20 seconds left in the frame.

Julio Hernandez gave the Packers a 2-0 lead after just a minute had ticked off in the second half off a pass from Andres Garcia Butkowski.

Then Ortiz picked up his second assist of the game when he found Mooday Wah for the final score of the game.

The Packers will open their home schedule at 5 p.m. on Tuesday when they host LaCrescent at Art Hass Stadium.
