ST. PAUL— A prominent host who was reassigned at Minnesota Public Radio after disclosing his relationship with a Democratic politician says he is leaving the station.
Tom Weber announced on Twitter Wednesday that he is leaving next week after 10 years at the St. Paul-based radio station.
Weber tweeted: “It’s been a challenging year” and that he looks forward “to trying new things.” He said he has no new gig lined up.
MPR said in January it was removing Weber from his weekday morning show after learning of his relationship with state Rep. Peggy Flanagan, a candidate for lieutenant governor.
