Contract bid, historical society report on council agenda

The Austin City Council will be voting on whether or not to award a contract bid to Gary Groh Construction LLC for pedestrian improvements at the intersection of Oakland Place and 12th Street Southeast during its regular meeting Monday evening.
The city received bids from Gary Groh Construction LLC, Fox Electric and Doyle Conner Co. Gary Groh Construction LLC came in as the lowest bidder at $31,128.
The council will also approve additional engineering services on the Turtle Creek and North Main Street Flood Control Projects.
Mower County Historical Society Director Randy Forster will present the MCHS’s 2017 annual report to the council during the council’s work session following the regular meeting. The report will highlight current membership, recently awarded grants and a 2018-2022 strategic plan.
Public Works Director Steven Lang will also discuss the sewer access charge for Fox Pointe Townhomes.
The council’s next regular meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, July 2, in the Council Chambers, located in the basement of City Hall. The work session will be held in the conference room across the hall immediately following the meeting.
