Lyle-Pacelli and BP softball teams rained out in first round

BLOOMING PRAIRIE — The rain won the first round of the Section 1A softball tournament in BP Monday.
The No. 4 seeded Awesome Blossoms held a 3-1 lead on No. 5 Lyle-Pacelli after three innings when the game was put on hold due to consistent rain and poor field conditions. The game will be finished in Hayfield on 4 p.m. Tuesday, with the winner of that contest taking on top-seeded Hayfield right after the conclusion of the game.

Julia Works had an RBI double for BP and Riauna Bishop drew a bases loaded walk for BP.
Abby Bollingberg had a double, a walk, and she scored on a wild pitch for LP.
