Cody Dean Plank, 25, of Faribault pleaded guilty to felony predatory offender failure to register as part of a plea agreement on Friday in Mower County District Court. He initially pleaded not guilty to the charge on March 13.
Plank was arrested on Feb. 27, 2017, for vehicle and driving violations. The arresting officer learned from the Minnesota Department of Corrections that Plank was a registered predatory offender, but had not registered a 1999 Dodge Ram pick-up truck he had purchased a month prior. The officer had seen Plank driving the vehicle earlier that day.
A review of Plank’s criminal history shows prior convictions for disorderly conduct, domestic assault, violating a domestic abuse no contact order and criminal sexual conduct.
