When 3-year-old Isabelle Day had her birthday on March 15, she had one wish: She wanted all her friends to bring books as gifts to her party.
In doing so, she created her own “surprise party,” when she took all of her newly-received, spanking new books and gave them all to the Austin Public Library.
And we’re talking about 18 books.
“She loves to read books and really loves visiting the library,” which includes enjoying story time and being able to pick new books each week to bring home, said her mom, Noelle.
“It seemed a natural fit to bring the books to the library (to donate) so we could visit them any time but also get to share them with everyone in the community. We are proud of her.”
