Kranz received the drug sale charge on Dec. 29, stemming from when he sold methamphetamine to a police informant on Dec. 28, 2016, and Jan. 4, 2017. He sold the informant a total of 17.579 grams of methamphetamine, which was surrendered to the police.

Kranz was charged with drug possession on June 14 after he led police on a chase while riding his bicycle the wrong way on Interstate 90. He was eventually caught in Oakwood Cemetery, where police found ½ gram of methamphetamine on him.

A review of Kranz’s criminal record shows prior convictions for drug charges, theft and domestic assault.
