The Hayfield boys basketball team started strong, but it wasn’t able to hold on in a 49-47 loss to Triton on the road Friday.

The Cobras (9-12 overall, 4-7 HVL) ran off two minutes and thirty seconds on their final possession before scoring the go-ahead bucket with 2.3 seconds left.

Luke Dudycha had 15 points for the Vikings (2-19 overall, 0-12 HVL), who led 18-4 to start to the game.
