Mark Paul Snater, 60, of Austin was sentenced to 24 months in prison for felony violating a domestic abuse no contact order within 10 years of two or more convictions. He received credit for 205 days served.
Judge Jeffrey Kritzer issued the sentence.
Snater was arrested on May 9 after officers found him intoxicated and carrying a beer can, which was a violation of his probation. He told the officers that a woman who had a domestic abuse no contact order against him was living with him at his residence in the 600 block of First Avenue Northwest.
The woman verified she had been living with him for two weeks. Snater said she was living with him because she had no place else to go.
A review of Snater’s criminal history shows prior convictions for criminal damage to property, harassment-tampering with a juror, disorderly conduct, terroristic threats, domestic abuse and theft along with two other convictions for violating a domestic abuse no contact order.
