A man recently charged with stalking and threatening a woman has received new charges for allegedly contacting the same woman.
Zachary Martin Koecher, 27, of Austin was charged on Tuesday in Mower County District Court with six counts of felony violating a domestic abuse no contact order within 10 years of two or more convictions.
According to the court complaint, Koecher’s ex-girlfriend, who had a domestic abuse no contact order filed against him on Feb. 15, met with police on Saturday because he started calling and texting her after he was released from jail on Feb. 16. Her call logs allegedly showed Koecher contacted her on Feb. 16, 17, 20, 21, 22 and 23. One day allegedly showed two missed calls from him while another allegedly showed seven missed calls.
Koecher was arrested on Monday and told police he had contacted the woman despite knowing it was against the no contact order, according to the complaint.
Koecher was charged with felony terroristic threats and felony stalking-repeated text messages/phone calls-two or more priors on Feb. 15.
A review of Koecher’s criminal history shows prior convictions for domestic assault and drug possession.
Koecher will appear in court again on Thursday for the Feb. 15 charges and March 12 for the Tuesday charges.
