The Austin Bruins lost to the Minnesota Magicians (20-16-3-2 overall) 5-1 on the road Friday.

Justin Brandt scored the lone goal for the Bruins (23-13-2-4 overall) to bring them within 3-1 early in the third period.

Mads Soogard stopped two of the four shots he saw for Austin and Alex Schilling stopped 18 of 21 shots.

The Bruins will host the Magicians on ‘Paint the Rink Pink Night’ in Riverside Arena Saturday at 7:05 p.m.
