Archer was also charged with felony third-degree sales of a narcotic, while Staffon was also charged with felony third-degree sales of a narcotic and felony predatory offender failing to register.

According to the court complaint, a Mower County Sheriff’s detective and a group of officers executed a search warrant on Thursday at Staffon’s residence in the 800 block of Sixth Street Northwest. The search warrant was also for Staffon’s car, a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix that he allegedly failed to register with the Predatory Offender Registration.

Officers entered through the unlocked front door of the house after nobody answered and found Staffon, Archer, Kerska, Sinclair and another woman inside.

Staffon was informed that he was under arrest for a warrant in Goodhue County, according to the complaint.

Staffon claimed he was “just visiting” his girlfriend, Archer, and was living with his mother in Oregon. However, when an officer spoke to the third woman at the residence, she allegedly said Staffon had been living there since “around Thanksgiving” and that she had observed him conduct drug sales out of the residence.

Archer appeared to be under the influence of methamphetamine, telling the detective that she had used the night before and that a methamphetamine pipe in her bedroom belonged to her and Staffon, according to the complaint.

A canine was brought through the residence and indicated the odor of drugs in several places in Staffon and Archer’s bedroom, according to the complaint. Officers allegedly found 6.25 grams of methamphetamine under a Bluetooth speaker on the nightstand.

They also allegedly found eight Lorazepam pills and 12 grams of methamphetamine in the bedroom shared by Sinclair and Kerska, as well as ¼ gram of methamphetamine on Kerska’s person.

Archer and Sinclair allegedly denied knowledge of the drugs found in their respective bedrooms.

A review of their criminal records shows numerous prior convictions for all, including drug possession, drug sales, issuing dishonored checks, theft, pawning stolen items, check forgery, domestic assault, and failure to register as a predatory offender.

Staffon will appear in court again on Feb. 26; the others will appear in court again on Feb. 21.
