Cassandra Eckert and Derek Jochumsen, both of Austin, Minnesota have announced their engagement.

Cassandra is the daughter of Rhonda and Marv Eckert. She graduated from Austin High School in 2009 and is currently attending Riverland Community College, working for a degree in nursing. She currently works as a CNA at Mayo Health System — Austin.

Derek is the son of Heidi Wogstad (Rodney Wogstad – stepfather) and Kendahl Jochumsen. He graduated from Austin High School in 2008 and will graduate from Riverland Community College in Albert Lea in May with a degree in industrial maintenance. He currently is employed with Hormel Food Corp.

The couple will be wed on June 9, 2018, at Crane Chapel in Austin, Minnesota.
