Austin boys basketball team holds off Mankato East

The No. 2 ranked Austin boys basketball team survived a late scare to get the season sweep on Mankato East as the Packers edged out the Cougars 73-68 in Mankato Friday.
The Packers (21-1 overall, 17-1 Big Nine) led by 10 late in the game when East (18-4 overall, 14-4 Big Nine) caught fire from the three-point line and Austin went cold on the free throw line.
The Packers finally iced the game when Duoth Zach, who finished with 32 points, hit two free throws with 1.4 seconds left.
