Woman pleads guilty to drug possession

Shirleen Kathrine Voigt, 22, of Austin pleaded guilty to felony third-degree possession of methamphetamine in a park zone on Monday in Mower County District Court.

Voigt was arrested on Dec. 21 when officers found her and Brandon Lee Moseng, 23, passed out in a car in the 1000 block of Second Avenue Southwest, near Galloway Park.

Deputies searched Voigt and found a plastic bag containing approximately two grams of methamphetamine on her person.

In Minnesota, felony third-degree possession of methamphetamine in a park zone carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.

Voigt will be sentenced on May 18.
