Taking the bull by the horns; Austin Bruins complete weekend sweep of Minotauros

The Austin Bruins completed a sweep of Minot Saturday with a 5-2 win at Riverside.

The Bruins defeated Minot the night before in a shootout, something they wouldn’t need Saturday.

Austin fell behind 2-1, early in the second period, but took over soon after, scoring three goals in just over seven minutes.

Evan Cholak tied the score at 13:05 of the second followed about a minute later by a goal from Riley Doyon giving Austin its first lead of the game at 3-2.

Alex Mella cushioned the lead at 19:25 of the period.
