Owatonna rallies past Austin girls hockey team

The Austin girls hockey team lost to Owatonna (10-4 overall, 6-2 Big Nine) by a score of 7-1 in Riverside Arena Tuesday.

Austin (5-9 overall, 3-6 Big Nine) took a 1-0 lead when Jaiden Schuster scored on assists from Hannah McMasters and Myia Hoium four minutes into the game. The Huskies scored three goals in the second period and three goals in the third period to put it away.

Faith Sayles had 37 saves for Austin, which had 17 shots on goal.

Austin had four players named to the All-Tournament Team from its Merchants Holiday Classic Tournament in Riverside Arena last week.

Jordyn McCormack, Erin Bickler, Myia Hoium and Lily Holtz were all honored for the Packers.
