City Planning and Zoning Director Holly Wallace will be discussing a rental property draft ordinance during the council’s work session following the meeting. The proposed ordinance will allow the city to inspect rental properties for code violations and require that the violations be fixed before the property can be rented out.

The council meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. tonight in the Council Chambers in the basement of City Hall. The work session will be held in Conference Room A across the hall from the Council Chambers immediately following the meeting.
