Austin Adult Learning is hoping to get feedback on how to better meet the needs of people seeking a General Equivalency Diploma.

According to AAL program coordinator Stacy Edland, AAL created a survey consisting of four quick questions that can be answered online. The survey is for adults who are not currently in high school and who do not have a high school diploma or a GED.

“We want to learn from these people how to better meet their needs with our programs, such as scheduling and class format,” Edland said.

Statistics show that approximately 3,400 adults in Mower County do not have a high school diploma or a GED. Of that number, roughly 1,000 are ages 18-24 years, according to Edland.

The survey will ask participants their age range, current job situation, if they have a desire to get a GED, and what times/formats interest them the most.

Links to the survey can be found at austinadultlearning.org or on the AAL Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/AustinAdultLearning/.

Edland said that, although there is no deadline, she encourages people to fill out the survey as soon as possible.

Those who participate in the survey can also register to win one of three $50 Kwik Trip gift cards.

Austin Adult Learning is a program of Austin Public Schools.
