Paiton Schwab and Isaac Christopherson are the November Rotary Students of the Month.

Schwab is the president of Austin High School’s National Honor Society chapter and a member of Student Council, Link Crew and DECA, among many others. She is “very thankful for all the relationships” she has made throughout her educational experience, as well as the “wide variety of options” that school has given her.

Schwab’s future plans include attending a four-year university to major in nursing.

Christopherson is the treasurer for NHS and participates in track and swimming. As a swimmer, he’s earned all-state honors and holds the school record in the 4-by-50 and 4-by-100 freestyle. He credits his education with helping him see “how everything connects to everything else,” which has “become a large part of who (he is) today.”

His future plans include studying biology, hopefully at Hamline University or Luther College.

Each month the Austin Rotary, in conjunction with Austin Public Schools, selects two students who excel in academics, leadership and activities.
