Austin police found no evidence of shots fired after a call was received by the department early Saturday.
According to Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger, officers responded to a call of shots fired at 1:14 a.m. on Saturday in the Walmart parking lot.
The woman who called in the report said she believed bullets had hit her vehicle. Officers established a perimeter and did not permit any of the customers to leave until they verified the area was safe.
Officers inspected the vehicle and found no damage from bullets. No one else in the store heard gunshots. A Walmart employee said he heard what he thought was someone running on the roof. No weapons were located at the scene.
Police are working in obtaining surveillance footage from the night of the incident.
