A 15 cent increase to the city minimum wage for seasonal, temporary and part-time workers was one of several changes approved by the City Council in a resolution during its regular meeting Monday evening. The resolution set positions and policy for the administration of wage rates of seasonal, temporary and part-time workers not covered by a labor agreement.

The resolution set wage rates for Level I seasonal, temporary and part-time positions as ranging from $9.65 to $10.50 per hour and Level II positions as ranging from $9.65 to $11.50 per hour. Supervisors for Level III – Special Service positions, ranging from $9.65 to $16 per hour, have the ability to pay less than the minimum wage, but can not pay less than the Minnesota minimum wage of $7.75 per hour.
