4 teenagers cited in vehicle tampering, theft; 3 released to parents, 1 sent to detention center

Four teen boys were cited for tampering with vehicles and theft Friday evening,
According to Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger, officers responded to a call at 6:39 p.m. on Friday of juveniles car prowling near vehicles in the Eagles parking lot.
Officers established a perimeter and caught four teen boys, three age 14 and one age 15. Officers found cash, sunglasses, aftershave, and a knife in their possession.
All four were cited with three counts of vehicle tampering and two counts of theft. Three of them were released into their parents’ custody while the fourth, a 14-year-old who was on probation, was sent to Many Rivers Juvenile Detention in Rochester.
