A car stolen on Saturday may have been taken to Iowa.

According to Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger, police responded to a call at 5:07 p.m. on Saturday to a residence in the 500 block of Seventh Avenue Southeast. A woman at the residence told them her 2000 Cadillac Deville, Minnesota license 780HWP had been stolen from her residence between 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

The woman stated her daughter’s boyfriend is a possible suspect. She said he had access to it in the past and that he may have taken it  to Iowa.

Officers took the report and sent a teletype to Iowa law enforcement.
