A neighbor told police she saw two Hispanic males, one light-skinned and one dark-skinned, aged 17-19, near the residence during the day. They said they were the resident’s “cousins” and were just borrowing some things. The resident said she is not aware of any cousins who would do that.

Krueger said officers responded to another burglary call on Monday, this time at 6:14 p.m. at the 700 block of Sixth Avenue Southeast. The victim said a white MacBook Air laptop, a white Xbox 1 with assorted stickers, a white Xbox 1 controller, a white Galaxy tablet, two pairs of gold earrings, a pair of size 13 red and white Air Jordan shoes, a pair of size 8 white Nike Air Max, and an undisclosed amount of cash were missing. The combined amount of the missing items was approximately $3,300.

The victim said the burglary occurred between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. The point of entry was a window that didn’t properly lock.
