Riverland Community College guard Jace Klinkner was named MCAC Southern Division Player of the Week for the first week of the season.

Klinkner, a sophomore from Woodbury, averaged 35.5 points per game against Dordt College JV and Northwestern College JV. Klinkner averaged four rebounds and 2.5 per assists in those games and he shot 50 percent from the field, 44.4 percent on three-pointers and 86.7 percent on free throws.

RCC will host Luther College JV Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
