Austin Area Foundation’s Jeff Baldus and Paul Wahlstrom donated a check for $1,500 to support a Children’s Dental Health program for kids in need of dental healthcare.

Donors who have made financial contributions to Austin Area Foundation’s Basic Needs fund made the contribution possible.  The Basic Needs Endowment Fund helps support emergency needs in the Austin and Mower County community beyond what local nonprofit organizations already supply.

“Austin Area Foundation is a way for people in our community to make a contribution that is larger than what they could give alone,” Baldus said.  “There are several funds and this one addresses more immediate, basic emergency needs such as dental health.”

Austin Area Foundation will be sending out its annual appeal and urges the community to give generously.

“This is a way people who live here and care about the needs of the people in our community can make a meaningful gift both now and into the future — more than what they could do on their own,” Baldus said.
