A woman who sold heroin to a police informant appeared Thursday in Mower County District Court.

Janice Marie Trigilio, 53, of Austin pleaded guilty to felony third-degree sale of a narcotic as part of a plea agreement. Charges of felony second-degree sales of a schedule I or II narcotic in a park zone and felony third-degree drug possession of 3 grams or more of heroin will be dropped at her sentencing.

Court documents say Trigilio sold heroin to a police informant on May 30. In Minnesota, felony third-degree sale of a narcotic carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
