The Southland football team lost to Winona Cotter (4-3 overall) 59-18 on the road Friday.

The Rebels (2-5 overall) racked up 239  yards rushing, but they failed to score on three of their red zone trips. Southland had the ball inside the one-yard line trailing 26-12 in the second half, when it couldn’t convert and the Ramblers took over.

“The score doesn’t reflect the game at all,” Southland head coach Shawn Kennedy said.

Lee Wilson scored two touchdowns for the Rebels and Parker Brigham had one TD. Carl Mueller was 4-for-12 with 83 yards passing.
