Y’s Women
Y’s women met on Oct. 12 at the Hormel Historic Home.
The program speaker was Nelly Croes who grew up in France during World War II. She told of some very sad stories relating to the war. She met her husband Victor who was serving his country (the U.S.) in France. After the war they came to the U.S. and got married. Victor worked as a chef for the Hormel family and Nelly worked at the Hormel office. They met many interesting and famous people through the Hormels. We enjoyed her stories and wit and she has an amazing memory at age 91.
Guests were Virginia Bissen, Sue Doocy, Mrs. Gorman and Mr. Harold Jensen. Faye Anderson was welcomed as a new member.
November events were discussed. Hostesses were Marlys Dunlop and Donna Maas.
The next meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 9 at the Hormel Home. The speaker will give an update on the Hormel Institute. Please bring items for the Salvation Army food shelf
