Donald “Buster” Dennis, 96, stands in front of the World War II Memorial’s Victory in the Pacific pavilion in Washington D.C. recently. He was among the veterans flown to Washington by Honor Flight Twin Cities. He was able to see the WWII memorial and many other sites on his visit there. A Navy veteran, he served as a 2nd class gunner’s mate on the USS Yorktown.
