Bradly Wayde Langan, 58, of Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester, Saint Marys Campus, surrounded by his family.

Brad was born May 13, 1959, in Austin, Minnesota, to Robert and Barbara (Hill) Langan. He spent most of his life residing in Blooming Prairie, although he was well-traveled. He married the love of his life, Cheryl Ann Rogers of San Diego, California, on Jan. 30, 1979, and they were blessed with three children. Brad had completed his welding training from Riverland Community College in Austin, and for many years owned and operated Independent Welding in Austin. Brad was a funny, loving, free-spirited man who had many talents. His greatest joys in life were his nine grandchildren, whom he filled with so much love and happiness. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his Harley.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl of Blooming Prairie; three children, Kellie Ann (Ollie) Schmidt of Austin, David (Amber) Langan of Medford, Minnesota, and Sarah Langan of Blooming Prairie; by his mother, Barbara Lucylle Langan of Austin; sisters, Marcia (John) Tobar of Austin, Maureen (Ed) Frein of Battle Creek, Michigan, Margie (Lynn) Reich of Apple Valley, Minnesota, and Michelle Holtorf of Austin; brother, Bobby Langan of Austin; many nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. Brad was preceded in death by his father, Robert Langan; and his sister, Mary Beth Langan.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin, with the Rev. Heidi Heimgartner officiating.  Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, prior to the service at the funeral home.
