LeRoy Lillie, age 56 of Austin, Minnesota passed away peacefully Friday afternoon Sept. 1, 2017, at Methodist Hospital, Rochester, Minnesota after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was surrounded by his loving family.

LeRoy was born Sept. 18, 1960, in Austin the son of Roy and Charlotte (Knutson) Lillie. He graduated from Austin High School. On Dec. 1, 1984, he was united in marriage to Heidi Groby in Austin. LeRoy was employed by Hormel Foods, retiring in October of 2015 after 31 years of employment.

He is survived by his loving wife, Heidi Lillie of Austin; son, Corey Lillie of Mankato, Minnesota; daughter, Tashma (Jason) Minto of Conway, South Carolina; three grandchildren; Hailey, Ashton and Brayden; three step-grandchildren; Chyanne, Lakota and Tala; two sisters, JoAnn (Richard) Fox of Afton, Minnesota and LuAnn Spencer of Solvang, California and many other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Charlotte Lillie and his grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at 2  p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017, at Crane Chapel in Austin, Minnesota with  Pastor Dale Christensen and Pastor Richard Chinander co-officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday Sept. 5, 2017, at the Worlein Funeral Home in Austin and for two hours prior to the service at Crane Chapel. There will be a private family interment.
