Alumni Update: Grand Meadow grad Jacobson makes college football debut

Grand Meadow grad Landon Jacobson saw his first live football action in nearly two years in Winona State University’s 30-20 win over Bemidji State University Aug. 31.

Jacobson had six carries for a negative yard for the Warriors (1-0 overall).

Austin grad Corey Waller played in his first college football game for Rochester Community and Technical College in a 23-12 loss to Northland Community and Technical College Saturday.

Waller registered one tackle in the loss.

VOLLEYBALL

Hayfield grad Savanna Cordle and Austin grad Kelsey Sederquest have seen some playing time early this season for Waldorf University (0-5 overall).

Sederquest has 27 digs this season and Cordle has 16 kills and nine blocks.

SOCCER

Austin grad Matias Parada made his college soccer debut as he played in Luther College’s 1-0 loss to University of Washington-St. Louis.

Parada did not attempt a shot in the game for Luther (0-2 overall).

Austin grad Abel Gebrikiros has one assist in three games at Iowa Lakes Community College (3-1 overall) this season.

Gebrikiros has played in three games and started two games, while attempting three shots for the Lakers.
