A Sargeant woman was killed early Friday morning after the vehicle she was riding in rolled.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Cassandra Lynn Sims, 32, was killed when the southbound-traveling Oldsmobile she was riding in and driven by Jesse Jerold Juaire, 27, of Rochester, Minnesota, left Highway 52 near Zumbrota, overcorrected and rolled at just before 5 a.m. Friday.
Sims was not wearing her seat belt according to the report.
Another passenger, Meless Lamar Bruton, 39, of Austin, was also in the vehicle and along with Juaire received non-life threatening injuries. Both refused transport.
K9 was used to search for a possible fourth person thought to be in the vehicle but it was later determined there were only the three.
Juaire was taken to Goodhue County detention center after the state patrol reported seeing indications he was driving while impaired.
