Diamondbacks knocked out of Class C baseball state tournament

The Dodge County Diamondbacks overcame a slow start, but they couldn’t hang on as they lost to the Carver Black Sox 7-5 in 10 innings to knock them out of the Class C state amateur baseball tournament in Norwood Sunday.

The Diamondbacks came back from a 4-0 deficit in the top of the first to eventually take a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the seventh. The Black Sox scored a run in the ninth to tie it at 5-5 and they added two more runs in the top of the 10th to get the win.
