The city of Austin will be spraying for mosquitos, tonight, Friday, Aug. 4, weather permitting. It will be a ground application.

Spraying will begin after 7 p.m. and continue throughout the night.

“The chemical that is used will not affect humans, animals or plants,” said a city news release. “The spray only kills the adult mosquito.”
